Granting of Business Permit

ABOUT THE SERVICE: Any person who shall establish, operate or conduct any business, trade or activity shall first obtain a Mayor’s permit and pay the corresponding fees.

One-stop-shop processing of business permits are conducted as early as December until January 20 (renewal period) and every first week of the month infront of the office of the Municipal Treasurer (October.)

Provision of Employment Referrals (Local and Overseas for employers)

 ABOUT THE SERVICE : Provision of assistance to employers/companies by conducting preliminary screening of applicants for referral.

Employers may submit list of job vacancies to be posted on bulletin boards and other strategic areas at the municipal hall.

REQUIREMENT/S:

  • Name and address of the company/employer
  • To whom the referral letter will be addressed
  • Contact number of the employer
  • Brief description of the company/employer, the nature of business (if possible), please provide a copy of the company’s profile and brochures)
  • Job vacancies or positions
  • Number of persons to be hired
  • Qualification/s requirements of applicants
  • List of necessary documents to be submitted by the applicants
  • POEA license

Provision of Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES)

 ABOUT THE SERVICE : The special program for the employment of students (SPES) aims to help poor but deserving in and out-of-school (IOSYs) in pursuing their education by encouraging their employment during summer break under RA 7323 enacted on March 30, 1992.

Students may be assigned to work in SPES registered private firms, government offices/departments. Working days shall be 15 days at the minimum and 45 days at the maximum. Students are entitled to at least the minimum wage of which 60% is paid by the employer and 40% by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE). Applications are screened at the Public Employment Services Office (PESO).

STUDENTS MUST MEET THESE CRITERIA:

  • 15 TO 25 years old
  • Enrolled during the present school year/semester immediately preceding the summer vacation or a school drop-out who wants to enroll again
  • Parent’s income should not exceed Php 36,000.00/year.
  • No failing grades

REQUIREMENT/S:

  • Registration form with (3) 1” x 1” ID pictures
  • Birth or Baptismal certificate
  • Form 138 (for high school students)
  • Certified copies of grades from the school registrar of the school where the student was enrolled during the previous semester (for college students)
  • Income Tax Return (ITR) of parents for the previous year or certificate of exemption or certification of Punong Barangay that income is below bracket.

Solemnization of Marriage

ABOUT THE SERVICE : The Local Chief Executive has the power to solemnize marriage as provided for by R.A. 7160, otherwise known as the Local Government Code of 1991.

Granting of Mayor’s Clearance

ABOUT THE SERVICE : Mayor’s Clearance is a document that certifies the individual to be a resident of the municipality, of good moral character and is a law abiding citizen. It is availed by individual, usually a pre-requisite in seeking employment, for firearm license and business permit.

Processing of Claims for Livelihood Assistance i.e. Animal Dispersal (livestock, pig and goat), construction materials and other items

ABOUT THE SERVICE : There are commitments given by the Mayor to various individuals or groups in the conduct of barangay visitation program of the municipal government. Subject to the availability of funds and supply, individuals and groups can claim at the office of the Mayor or from the provincial government thru the Office of the Municipal Agriculture.

ABOUT THE SERVICE : There are winners of cash/material incentives in line with the municipality’s annual search for the Cleanest, Greenest and Safest Barangay and School. A committee is tasked to proves these claims.

REQUIREMENT/S:

  • Project proposal in the form of a barangay resolution or program of work
  • Approval of the Municipal Mayor

ABOUT THE SERVICE : The public may request and may be granted the use of the following on a first come first served basis.

  1. Facilities for seminars, conferences, gathering, sports and other activities.
    • People’s Center
    • Basketball Court
  2. Equipment like dumptruck, payloader, bulldozer, backhoe, ambulance, chairs, tables, etc.
  3. LGU Vehicles – Coaster and Bus

REQUIREMENT/S:

  • Letter-request addressed to the Mayor, specifying the government facilities/equipment to be used, purpose, time and date.
  • Official receipt showing payment of fees

Employment with the Municipal Government

ABOUT THE SERVICE : Employment with the Municipal Government of Nueva Era is open to all provided that there is a vacant position. Applicants for vacant positions should possess the minimum qualification requirements of the position applied for.

Vacancies are posted in the bulletin of vacant positions at the municipal hall and at the Civil Service Commission provincial field office bulletin and published in the CSC bulletin of vacant positions for 15 calendar days.

Granting of Financial Assistance (Medical, Food subsistence, burial, financial assistance to pregnant women)

 ABOUT THE SERVICE : Any resident of the municipality who are in need of financial assistance such as medical, food subsistence, burial and financial assistance to pregnant women may avail of the service of the municipality.

REQUIREMENT/S:

  • General intake sheet from from Social Welfare Office
  • Certificate of Indigency from Barangay Chairman
  • Medical certificate from MHO in case of medical assistance and financial assistance to pregnant women
  • Death Certificate from MHO and LCR in case of burial assistance
  • Community tax certificate
  • Certification from Municipal Health Office that the concerned is pregnant and does regular pre-natal check-up at the RHU Lying-in clinic and Certificate of Indigency from Barangay Chairman.

Education Assistance

ABOUT THE SERVICE : Any college student and resident of the municipality who are in need of educational assistance may avail of the service of the municipality to respond to the needs of every family to educate their children and bring them to school.
