Today marks the Ground Breaking of the 29.952 MW Nueva Era Solar Farm located at Barangay Poblacion, Nueva Era, Ilocos Norte, the First Battery – Embedded solar farm in the country. This landmark project, powered by a global collaboration from Japan, Malaysia, Germany, China, and the Philippines (Sineng, Looop, and AESOLAR), heralds a brighter, sustainable future!

The event witnessed by the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including the Looop Energy Malaysia Managing Director Ong Chin Wei, the General Manager of Renewable Energy Division of Looop Japan Keiya Kojima, the Sales VP of AE Solar Germany Waldemar Hartman, the INEC Board of Director Atty. Nick N. Malasig, from NEA Atty. Nikki Pilar, the Acting General Manager of INEC Mr. Cipriano E. Martinez III, the INEC Board of Directors, the President of One Ilocos Norte Enery Corp. (OINEC), Engr. Jimwel C. Capillo, the Consul and Head Consul Ren Faqiang, Mr. Dave Pascual and Atty. Kalvin Pascual representing the Chinese Chamber of Commerce, alongside the presence of Provincial officials headed by Governor Hon. Matthew J. Marcos Manotoc represented by Provincial Board Member Hon. Medeldorf M. Gaoat together with the Vice Governor Hon. Cecilia Araneta Marcos represented by Provincial Board Member Hon. Jonathan O. Torralba, along with the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Members, Hon. Aladine T. Santos, Hon. Giancarlo Angelo S. Crisostomo, ABC Fed. President Hon. Ryan Pascua and Hon. Cheryll Borromeo Tabangay, IMPR of the Province of Ilocos Norte. Likewise, Municipal officials, led by Municipal Mayor Hon. Atty. Aldrin R. Garivida and Municipal Vice Mayor Hon. Caroline A. Garvida, graced the event with their presence, together with the Sagguniang Bayan Members, Punong Barangays, Barangay IPMR’s, SK Chairmen, IP members, ADAL scholars and the townspeople of Nueva Era.
